The User Access Management (UAM) feature allows designated administrative users to control who in your organization can access product areas and actions by creating custom roles that allows for custom access to specific parts of ShipperGuide.
Each role is a set of permissions. When you edit a role, everyone with that role instantly inherits the change.
The default roles within ShipperGuide Admin, Standard and Supervisor are still available and have not been changed and cannot be edited.
Only “Supervisor” level users are able to access multiple locations and create locations due to this access, their roles cannot be restricted using UAM.
Please note: Only Admin and custom roles with permission to edit users can create new custom roles. The UAM feature is only available for paid subscription users.

User Role Creation Admin Tips
- Least privilege: start with the smallest set of permissions that enables the user’s job.
- Use roles for consistency: define a role once, assign it to many users.
- Review quarterly: remove access that’s no longer needed.
Test changes: create or repurpose a test account to validate role behavior before broad rollout.
