If you've forgotten your password or simply want to update it, follow the steps below to reset your password in the Yard Tasks app.

Reset Your Password from the Login Screen (Forgot Password)

1. Open the Yard Tasks app and go to the login screen.

2. Tap "Forgot Password?" located below the password field.

   

3. Enter the email address associated with your Yard Tasks account.

4. Complete the required reCAPTCHA, then tap "Send Link".

   

5. Check your email inbox for a message from OpenDock. (Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.)

6. Open the email and tap the "Create New Password" link.

   

7. You'll be taken to a secure page (or back into the app) where you can enter a new password.

   

8. Confirm your new password by entering it a second time.
9. Tap "Confirm" to confirm the password reset.
10. Return to the app and log in using your new password.

Password Requirements

When creating a new password, make sure it meets the following common requirements:

• At least 8 characters long
• Contains at least one uppercase letter
• Contains at least one number
• Contains at least one special character (e.g., !, @, #, $)

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the reset email.

• Check your spam/junk folder.
• Confirm you entered the correct email address associated with your account.
• Wait a few minutes, as delivery can sometimes be delayed.
• Try requesting the reset link again.

The reset link isn't working.

• Reset links typically expire after a set period of time (often 15–60 minutes). Request a new one if it's expired.
• Make sure you're opening the link on the same device or browser where you requested it, if required.

I still can't log in after resetting my password.

• Double-check for typos, especially with capitalization.
• Make sure Caps Lock isn't accidentally turned on.
• Contact OpenDock support for further assistance.
