Rail Tracking Visibility brings rail into ShipperGuide as a full mode, with live tracking from pickup to delivery and an embedded Union Pacific integration — so rail-heavy shippers can plan, book, and track rail shipments in one platform instead of bouncing between a carrier website, their ERP, and a phone.

How to Create a Rail Shipment

1. In ShipperGuide, go to the Shipments tab.
2. Click New Shipment.
   
3. Select Rail as the mode.
   
4. Choose the equipment type: Container, Tank Car, or Trailer.\
5. Enter the container details. The Container number and Booking number must exactly match the numbers issued by the rail carrier — this is what allows ShipperGuide to match and track your shipment correctly.

6. Fill in the remaining shipment information — lane, pickup point, delivery details, and carrier details.
7. Click Create Shipment.

Once your shipment is created, you'll be able to see its full journey in ShipperGuide, including the latest location pings and status updates.
