[ShipperGuide] How to Accept a Tender as a Carrier

  • Updated

Introduction

Once you submit a spot quote bid through Loadsmart, the shipper has the option to book it and formally tender the load to you. This article walks carriers through how to accept a tendered load in ShipperGuide — either directly from the notification email or through the Carrier Portal. Accepting your tender promptly helps keep pickup and delivery schedules on track.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Submit your bid. After you submit a spot quote, the shipper can choose to book it on their end. Once they do, the load is officially tendered to you.
  2. Check your email for the tender notification. You'll receive a message from ShipperGuide with a subject line similar to "Shipper tendered you a load Pickup <> Deliver location."

Important Information: To view any tenders offered by your shipper, you must log in with the same email your shipper has on file.

  1. Open the email and review the lane details. The email includes the pickup and delivery information, along with a magic link that takes you directly to the tender acceptance page.

Important Information: The following tender statuses will not be available:

  • Expired
  • Canceled
  • Deleted
  1. Review the offer on the acceptance page. Here you'll see the facility details, mileage, rate, shipper, mode, and equipment type, along with a countdown showing when the offer expires.

  2. Click Accept and confirm. Once you click Accept, confirm the acceptance to finalize the tender.
  3. Prefer to use the Carrier Portal instead? Log in at carrier.loadsmart.com and select Bids & Tenders in the left-hand menu. You'll see all the lanes you've been invited to, including any that still need your acceptance.
  1. Accept the tender from the Carrier Portal. Select the pending lane and follow the same Accept and confirm steps to complete the process.
  2. Don't want the load? If you'd rather not take the tendered load, just click Reject instead of Accept — it's available right next to the Accept button on both the email acceptance page and in the Carrier Portal.

FAQ

What happens if I don't accept the tender before it expires?
The offer will expire and the load may become available for another carrier to accept. Be sure to accept before the countdown ends.

Can I reject a tendered load?
Yes. On both the email acceptance page and in the Carrier Portal, you'll see a Reject option next to Accept.

Where can I see all my pending tenders?
In the Carrier Portal, go to Bids & Tenders to view every lane you've been invited to, including ones still awaiting your response.

What if I don't receive the tender email?
Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it's still missing, log in directly to the Carrier Portal to check the Bids & Tenders tab for pending offers.

Can I access the tender acceptance page from a mobile device?
Yes, the magic link in the email and the Carrier Portal are both accessible from mobile browsers.
