Overview
Driver ID Validation adds a verified identity check to your facility's gate check-in process. When a driver arrives, they scan a government-issued ID or driver's license using a smartphone or on-site tablet. The verification is timestamped and stored on the appointment record, giving your facility a complete, auditable log of every gate event.
No new hardware is required. The feature works with devices your facility already has on-site.
How It Works
ID Validation is built directly into the Gate Management check-in flow. Here's what the process looks like from arrival through departure:
- Driver scans the QR code to initiate check-in at the gate.
- ID is scanned: the driver scans their government-issued ID or driver's license using a phone or tablet.
- Identity is verified: the scan is validated instantly. If biometric face matching is enabled, a live photo is compared against the scanned ID for an additional check.
- Check-in is confirmed: the verified record is timestamped and saved to the appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which ID types are accepted?
Driver's licenses and government-issued IDs are both supported. You choose which types your warehouse accepts. IDs from 200+ countries are recognized.
Does this require new hardware or equipment?
No. Drivers can scan their ID using any smartphone, and facility staff can use an existing on-site tablet. No new equipment needs to be purchased or installed.
What happens if a driver doesn't have their ID?
That depends on how your warehouse has configured the feature. If ID validation is set to required, the driver must present a valid ID to complete check-in. If set to optional, check-in can proceed without it.
Where are verification records stored?
Each verification is timestamped and saved directly on the corresponding appointment record in Gate Management. You can access this history from the appointment details view at any time.
Is biometric face matching required?
No. Biometric face matching is an optional enhancement. Your warehouse can use ID scanning alone, or enable face matching for an extra layer of verification.
