[ShipperGuide] Release Notes – April 2025

  • Updated

This release note introduces key enhancements across authentication, integrations, order and fulfillment management, shipment planning, and UI/UX improvements. Major updates include new Single Sign-On authentication, expanded Public API capabilities, Tender Webhooks, and improvements to LTL 3rd Party and Drayage workflows.

Authentication & Security

Ensuring secure and seamless access to ShipperGuide is a top priority, we have some improvements to Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication using the SAML method and Identity Provider (IdP) integrations.

  • Users can now sign in exclusively through their identity provider (IdP).
  • Users can now log in directly from their identity provider dashboard.

Integrations & API Enhancements

This release includes major improvements to public APIs, webhook events, and external system integrations to provide better connectivity and automation.

Public API Enhancements

  • Added support for Mexico addresses in Orders APIs.
  • Support for pickup/delivery instructions in Order Create/Update.

Webhook & External Integration Updates

  • Introduced a new invoice-approved event for the shipments webhook, which triggers when an invoice is approved during the audit process. This supports Bill Order creation in NetSuite.
  • Improved Shipment Webhook payload by adding the following fields:
    • Charges
    • Carrier linked to the charge
    • Documents (Invoice, POD)
    • Carrier information
    • Check-in/out date and time
    • Public tracking link
    • Shipment mode

These webhook updates enhance automation for customers integrating with NetSuite, AG1, and Mobility Works.

Order & Fulfillment Management

This release includes improvements to how orders and fulfillments are created, managed, and tracked, focusing on flexibility, data accuracy, and usability.

Other Order & Fulfillment Updates

  • Added Equipment Type selection to Fulfillment.
  • Users can now manually close and reopen orders as needed.
  • Facility instructions are now merged with Fulfillment pickup/delivery instructions for better clarity
  • Improved search and filtering options in the Orders list for suppliers.
  • A new flag was added for customers using Inbound without orders in BOL sharing.

Shipment Execution

LTL 3rd Party Enhancements

During March, we completed the first phase of our LTL 3rd Party initiative. While some planned features were adjusted based on customer feedback, the rollout has been highly successful.

Default Accessorials for Shipments

  • Expanded default accessorial settings at the facility level to also apply to shipments created via integrations and spreadsheets.
  • This ensures that accessorial charges are consistently applied regardless of how a shipment is created.

Tendering & Carrier Management

To improve carrier efficiency and tendering workflows, we have introduced Tender Webhooks that notify carriers of key tender events.

New Tender Webhooks

  • Tender Sent – Notifies carriers when a tender is issued, including quoted rate and response deadline.
  • Tender Rejected/Expired – Alerts shippers if a carrier rejects a tender or if it expires without response.
  • Tender Canceled – Informs carriers if a tender is withdrawn before they respond.

These updates enhance API-driven tender management, improving response times and workflow automation.

UI & UX Enhancements

We’ve made various improvements to enhance the user experience, standardize UI components, and ensure clearer communication within the platform.

  • Updated shipment reminder email templates to improve clarity.
  • Standardized UI components to align with our design system (Miranda).
