Carrier Initiated Chat to Shipper

Connecting with your shipper has gotten easier now with the Carrier Initiated Chat function. This chat allows carrier users to reach out directly to contact the shipper with any questions you may have regarding the shipment assigned. 

 

How to Start a Chat:

1. Navigate to the Shipment Details page for the shipment in question. This can be accessed via the emailed Shipment Confirmation or can be accessed from the MY LOADS tab on the Carrier Guide portal

 

2. Under the shipper details on the left side of the page, click Open chat

 

3. A side panel will appear and you can begin your chat in the text field. The chat will be initiated with the shipper user that created the shipment. 

 

 

4. When your shipper contact replies, if you are on the Shipment Details page, the “Open Chat” button will be enabled and in green.

 

If you are not online in the Shipment Details page, an email will be sent to you notifying you of the chat response. 

 

 

Please note: Only chats initiated by your carrier user will be accessible via the Shipment Details page. Chat conversations initiated by the shipper can only be responded to via email.
