[CarrierTMS] Utilizing Asset Tags in CTMS

Introduction

Getting that every customer has unique workflows and operational needs, the asset tags feature is designed to enhance your operation. In this article, you will learn what this feature is and how to use it.

What is an Asset Tag?

The asset tagging feature allows you to create custom tags for drivers, trucks and trailers, enhancing your ability to manage and categorize them according to your specific needs. See the example below:

Key Functionalities

  • Customizable Tags: Define tags for each asset, including trucks and drivers, directly within their profile pages.
  • Easy Assignment: Quickly create and assign tags to assets, making it easier to organize and filter your resources.
  • Workflow Management: Use tags to filter and sort assets in your daily operations, making it easier to adhere to specific workflows and preferences.

How to Set Up Asset Tags?

For Drivers

Once you are logged in your account,

  1. Go to the “Driversmenu
  2. Select the driver you want to add the tag to
    1. you can also add a “+new driver” if this is a non-existing one
  3. Scroll down to the Tag section

  1. Enter the tag you want and click “+Add new tag” or press enter on your keyboard to add the tag
    1. If you want to add an existing tag to a driver, just assign the created tag to the asset by selecting it from the dropdown menu.

  1. Don’t forget to click so you can finish the setup. 

For Trucks

  1. Go to the “Trucks”  menu
  2. Select the truck you want to add the tag to
    1. you can also add a “+new truck” if this is a non-existing one
  3. Scroll down to the Tag section

  1. Enter the tag you want and click “+Add new tag” or press enter on your keyboard to add the tag
    1. If you want to add an existing tag to a truck, just select the tag you want from the option you’ve already created

  1. Don’t forget to click so you can finish the setup.

For Trailers

  1. Go to the “Trailers”  menu
  2. Select the truck you want to add the tag to
    1. you can also add a “+new truck” if this is a non-existing one
  3. Scroll down to the Tag section

  1. Enter the tag you want and click “+Add new tag” or press enter on your keyboard to add the tag
    1. If you want to add an existing tag to a truck, just select the tag you want from the option you’ve already created

  1. Don’t forget to click so you can finish the setup.
