[NavTrac] What does the Gate Feed tab show me?

  • Updated

In this article, you’ll learn about the Gate Feed and how to use it.

The Gate Feed is the main landing page for the NavTrac dashboard. It provides a live feed of all trucks as they enter and exit the yard/facility. Each observation includes date, time and direction as well as a myriad of other data fields that are selectable in the page settings (see note D below). Cameras capture every vehicle Class 2B-8. This includes service vehicles and box trucks. New observations are populated within minutes of entering or exiting the facility.

Please watch the video below to understand how to manage what is happening at your gate.

The Gate Feed tab defaults to show ALL yards but can be filtered by location or gate to see traffic at a specific location. As you can see in the images below, there are different features to help you customize the page for your specific operational needs.

If you want to see all of the assets a carrier has brought into or out of your facility you can search by “Carrier Name” or “DOT #.” Note: NavTrac’s OCR software reads the DOT number then queries the federal DOT database to provide carrier data. As the “Carrier Name” field will populate federally registered carrier data, this may be different from the carrier name present on the side of the truck.

To view a driver’s daily productivity, use the “Vehicle Truck #” or “Vehicle License Plate #” search categories. You can also search by a specific date range.
