[Opendock] Booking an Appointment

  • Updated

1. Search or Select a Warehouse

To begin:

  • Use the Search Bar to look up facilities by Company Name, Warehouse Name, or Warehouse Address

  • Or select from your Favorite Warehouses or Recent Warehouses

Once you've located the correct warehouse, click on its facility card to continue.

2. Read the Warehouse Instructions

Before booking, you’ll land on the warehouse’s Instructions Page. This section often includes:

  • Guidelines on how the appointment should be created

  • Specific requirements for appointment fields

  • Important check-in instructions, safety details, or documentation expectations

Make sure to read this information carefully—it’s designed to help you avoid mistakes and ensure smooth scheduling.

3. Click "Book Appointment"

Click the Book Appointment button located at the top right corner of the instructions page to begin the scheduling process.

4. Select Load Type

Choose the appropriate Load Type for your shipment.

5. Select a Dock (If Available)

  • Some facilities allow carriers to select a dock manually.

  • Others will assign a dock automatically as part of the appointment process.

6. Choose a Date and Time Slot

Use the calendar view to choose from available appointment slots.

Only available time slots will be shown based on the warehouse’s scheduling rules.
If a date or time is not visible, it is either closed or fully booked, and appointments cannot be made during that period.

7. Complete Appointment Details

Fill in the required appointment fields. Some fields may be mandatory, meaning the appointment cannot be created until those are filled in. Others may be optional.

Once all required information is entered, proceed to confirm the appointment.

8. Review Your Appointment

After submitting the form:

  • You’ll receive a confirmation with all appointment details

  • The warehouse will be automatically added to your Recent Warehouses list for quick access in the future
