Tender Rejection Prediction

The Tender Rejection Prediction is a new feature in ShipperGuide which will give you more insight into the likelihood that an FTL spot bid will be accepted or rejected by a carrier from your carrier network. The prediction indicator provides users the opportunity to decide the fit of the carrier when selecting the most optimal carrier to tender a spot bid to. 

 

A tender rejection is defined as either 1) a carrier who is awarded a spot bid and explicitly rejects the tender or 2) a carrier who is awarded a spot bid and does not respond to the tender allowing the tender acceptance window to expire.

 

ShipperGuide offers four category levels of predictions for users to review and make a more informed decision prior to tendering:

  • Highly Likely to Reject / High Confidence carrier is likely to reject
  • Likely to Reject / Low Confidence carrier is likely to reject
  • Highly likely to Accept / High Confidence carrier is likely to accept
  • Likely to Accept / Low Confidence carrier is likely to accept

 

The Tender Rejection Prediction feedback will populate only on the Quote Details page once an invited carrier has submitted a bid for a FTL spot bid

 

 

The user will also be notified again of this indicator upon tendering the shipment to the carrier within the Book Shipment popup:

 

 

The Tender Rejection Prediction is made at the moment a spot bid is submitted and takes into consideration all the aspects such as the carrier’s past responses to tenders, the pickup date, the lead time to pickup, how much time has passed since the bid, the lane itself, among other factors. Our data scientists develop these predictions using algorithms and statistical models. Predictions based on past history can never be perfect, so we can't guarantee they'll be correct.

 

The prediction will update periodically as time passes and it does not take into consideration any future bids relative to the present bid it is reporting on.
