CarrierTMS integrates with Samsara to monitor your fleet, and drivers' HOS and supports load document upload.

To connect to Samsara:
1. Login to cloud.samsara.com
2. Click the settings icon in the lower left corner
3. Go to Developer > click API Tokens
4. Click + Add an API Token
5. In the Name field, enter "Kamion"
6. Under Scopes > Global, select Global Read
7. Click Save and copy the generated API token
8. On your Carrier TMS account, go to Settings > Integrations > ELDs
9. On the Samsara integration card, click Install > Next
10. Paste the API token from Samsara and click Connect to install the integration.
Truck sync
Carrier TMS and Samsara integration supports the following truck data syncs:- Truck position for load tracking
- Odometer mileage
- Engine state (on/off)
- Speed (MPH)
Driver's Hours of Service (HOS)
To ensure the driver's Hours of Service (HOS) are synced, verify that the phone number listed in the driver's Carrier TMS profile is the same as the one on Samsara.
Load document upload
Carrier TMS checks the Samsara integration every 15 minutes for load documents. It will only search for documents that have been uploaded within the past 24 hours. The document template should have the following setup:
1. At least one field type is Photos
2. Field type Number, contains the words "Load Number"
3. The document name must match the document type on Carrier TMS. Please see below the document type mapping.
Document type mapping
Make sure the name of the Document Type on Samsara matches exactly (including capitalization) with the following:
- Bill of Lading
- Proof of Delivery
- Scale Ticket
- Proof of Delivery Lumper
- Load Pictures
- Receipts
- Citation
