Overview

Carriers working with ShipperGuide shippers can use the Loadsmart Carrier Portal to:

  • Upcoming shipments
  • Ongoing shipments
  • Completed shipments
  • Bids
  • Tenders
  • RFPs from connected shippers

This article explains how to create a carrier account and complete the signup process.

Important: ShipperGuide shipments, quotes, bids, and RFPs will only appear on your account if your login email address matches the email address listed on your shipper’s carrier profile.

 

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Open the Carrier Portal

Go to:

Loadsmart Carrier Portal

 

Step 2: Click “Sign Up”

  • Click the Sign Up button.
  • You will be redirected to the registration page.

 

Step 3: Complete the Registration Form

Fill out all required account information.

You will also be asked to select your company type:

  • Carrier
  • Broker

Note: Only one account type is allowed per service type.
Example:

  • One account for Full Truckload (FTL)
  • One account for Intermodal

 

Step 4: Submit Your Registration

  • Once all information has been entered, click the Sign Up button.

 

Step 5: Verify Your Email Address

After registering, you will receive a verification email.

  • Open the email sent to your registered email address.
  • Click Verify Email Address to activate your account.

 

Pending Admin Approval for Existing Carrier Accounts

If the MC/DOT number you entered is already associated with an existing carrier account on Loadsmart, your account will require approval from your company’s account administrator before you can access the platform.

For security purposes:

  • You will not be able to log in until your account is approved.
  • An automatic email notification will be sent to your company’s admin user requesting approval.

Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email granting access to your account.

 

For Admin Users

Admin users can manage pending account approvals by navigating to:

  • Manage
  • Pending Users

within their Loadsmart account.

 

Troubleshooting

If you receive an Invalid Credentials error after verifying your email address, your account may still be pending admin approval.
