Before creating new loads in Carrier TMS, it is important to set the load number start value. The load number start value will be assigned to the newest load created in Carrier TMS as the unique identifier (load number) for the load.

The load number start value will increase by increments of 1 for every new load created in the system. 

Important: Users must input a numeric value in the load number start field; if the field is left empty or has a non-numeric entry, changes won't be saved. The default value for this field will be set to "1."

To set the load number:

1. On your left dashboard, go to Settings > General Settings >  Organization

2. Under Load Number Start, enter the preferred load number value for the newest load that will be created in Carrier TMS

3. Click Save Changes

Important: If the starting value for the load number is set, any values below that set value can not be updated in the load number start field.
