After carriers have accepted a shipment tender, carriers can access the shipment’s page to enable autonomous tracking to provide pickup/delivery check-in and out times, and view/download BOL and Ratecon documents.
Carriers can access the shipment’s page after they have accepted the tender. They will also receive an email the same day as the pickup or if the shipper requests shipment updates, that will direct them to the shipment’s page.
Now in CarrierGuide you are able to set up a preferred tracking method and tailor your tracking experience to that specific method.

Tracking Methods
Manual Updates: Add Manual Location and Check-in, Check-out Times
Carriers can provide shipment updates manually through the "Add a manual location ping” section or within the shipment pickup/delivery details using the check-in/check-out timestamps directly on their shipment details page.
From the Add a Manual Location Ping section, to provide a location, the carrier user will enter a location in the “Last Location” box, add the date and time, and then click “Share Location.”
Location updates will be shared to the shipper for this load.
The driver’s location will be added to the shipment and shared with the shipper. Click the next to the location under “Pings” to remove the driver’s location from the shipment if needed.
From the Pickup/Delivery sections, click the Driver Arrive / Driver Left depending on the update being added.
2. A pop-up window will appear. Enter the stop's check-in/out date and time and click CONFIRM.
Once confirmed the check-in-out timestamp, the shipment status will automatically update.
If the pickup/delivery check-in/out timestamps need to update, click next to the appointment stop type.
Mobile App Shipment Tracking
By assigning a driver to a shipment, carriers can enable autonomous tracking from drivers’ mobile devices through one of the supporting tracking applications:
Loadsmart Loads
Trucker Tools
project44
Once the app is downloaded and an account is created, the dispatcher or driver will enter the driver information as seen below on the carriers shipment details page:
Select or add a driver, then click “Confirm”.
Once the driver is assigned, they will be sent an SMS text message or push notification on the chosen app alerting them they have a new load and to look on the app for it to enable autonomous tracking.
The driver must download one of the supporting mobile applications and allow location tracking on their mobile device to send updates to the shipment on ShipperGuide. If the driver is unresponsive, tracking from the driver’s mobile device will be unavailable for the shipment.
ELD Shipment Tracking
Carriers can also enable autonomous tracking from ELD devices with trucks connected to Project44 or Trucker Tools.
To link your ELD tracking to your ShipperGuide shipment, access the links below and follow the instructions for the respective provider to connect your ELD.
- Trucker Tools (ELD Connection)
- Project 44 (ELD Connection)
Once connected, use the “Add the Truck Number to Track with ELD” box to assign the truck number of the truck that will be moving that specific shipment. If the number is incorrect the tracking will not start.
If the truck number is not listed, type in the truck number and add it to your Project44 or Trucker Tools truck list. Please ensure the truck number matches the number registered on the truck’s ELD device.
After a truck has been assigned to a shipment, ShipperGuide will receive the location of the shipments every ~15 minutes. In addition, when a truck enters or exits a stop’s area, ShipperGuide will automatically update the shipment’s check-in and out times with geofencing.
