What is the Duration of a Load Type?

It is the time that will be allotted for an appointment and should be correlated with the time a driver can expect to be at your facility. The most common appointment durations our clients use are 30, 60, or 90 minutes long.

What is the Inbound/Outbound Direction on an Appointment?

Inbound and Outbound refer to two of the most common processes to move goods throughout the supply chain. While they are similar in nature and both involve the transportation of products across various distribution channels, Inbound deals with supply and Outbound fulfills demand.

Inbound Appointment (i.e. Delivery):
Inbound processes include the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies from a manufacturer or other distribution channel to a fulfillment center, warehouse, or retail store depending on the business model.

Outbound Appointment (i.e. Pickup):
Outbound processes are related to the movement of end products to the end-user, often originating in a distribution or fulfillment center and then delivering to their final destination.
